Due to the recent Postal strike in Canada, invoices, and other correspondences you receive by mail from XOOM Energy may be delayed. You can manage your XOOM Energy account, including viewing and paying your bill by visiting MyXOOMEnergy.

In observance of the Christmas Day Holiday, XOOM Energy’s Customer Care will be closed on Wednesday, December 25th. Normal business hours will resume at 8am ET on Thursday, December 26th. Remember you can manage your account online by visiting MyXOOM or find answers to your questions in our FAQ section.

Making the Switch to XOOM Energy Just Got Easier with Freedom2Connect


Searching for a New Energy Provider? 

For new residential customers, when you switch to XOOM Energy we’ll cover your early termination fees with your current energy provider (up to $150) when you enroll on a fixed-price plan 12 months or longer. 

With Freedom2Connect, we make switching your energy provider to XOOM Energy as simple and seamless as possible and we will even cover your early termination fees.

To get started just:

  1. Enroll on a fixed‑price plan that is 12 months or longer.
     
  2. Email a copy of the front and back of your final bill to customercare@xoomenergy.ca.
Please be sure to include all of the following:  

  All pages of the final bill that clearly shows your full name, service address, and the billing cycle dates 

  The early termination fee amount that was charged 

  Your phone number 

  Your XOOM Energy customer account number

  1. Customers in Alberta will receive a bill credit up to $150 on their XOOM Energy account.

How does the Freedom2Connect program work?
For Alberta customers, once you’ve submitted your final bill and it has been approved, we’ll provide a bill credit to your account to offset the cancellation fee up to $150. 
 
 
Who can participate in the Freedom2Connect program?
New residential energy customers who switch to XOOM Energy and enroll on a fixed-price plan that is 12 months or longer.
 
 
When will I receive my bill credit?
For Alberta customers, once your submission is approved, the credit will show on your invoice within 1-2 billing cycles as “Cancellation Fee Credit.” 
 
 
What is the ETF reimbursement limit?
XOOM Energy will pay your early termination fee up to $150.
 
 
Where do I send my final energy bill showing the ETF amount?
 
For customers in all other markets: send your copies to customercare@xoomenergy.ca
 
Make sure all pages are legible and please make sure that the email includes the following:
  • All pages of the final bill that clearly shows your full name, service address, and the billing cycle dates 
  • The early termination fee amount that was charged 
  • Your phone number 
  • Your XOOM Energy customer account number
 
What affects whether or not XOOM Energy will pay me my ETF?
New customers who meet the following requirements will be reimbursed their ETF (up to $150):
 
  • Residential energy customer
  • Enrolled in a fixed-price plan of 12 months or longer
  • Utility account number matches the premise address that they enroll with XOOM Energy
  • First and last name matches the ESI ID or Utility account number on the prior provider’s bill
 
Can this offer be combined with other promotional offers?
No, this offer can’t be combined with other promotional offers.
 

 
 
Please note that the following criteria must be met in order to qualify for the Freedom2Connect program in Alberta: available to residential home meters only; must be a new residential energy customer switching to XOOM Energy from another provider; must enroll on a fixed-price plan that is 12 months or longer; the Utility Account Number matches the Utility Account Number enrolled with XOOM Energy; First and last name matches the name on prior provider’s bill. Customers have 90 days from their switch request to claim their reimbursement.
